Accountant II

About the role

RYAM is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Finance Department. This role will support accurate and timely financial reporting, assist in audits, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams
• Highlight and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Guide accounting associates and answer their questions
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting preferred
• CPA preferred
• 3-7 years of progressive work experience in finance
• Up-to-date knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities
