Essential Performance Requirements
- Professionalism and Ethics: Demonstrate ethics and sound professional practices, stimulate social accountability and community stewardship.
- Financial Skills: Understand and explain financial accounting information, prepare and manage budgets.
- Critical Thinking and Analysis: Assess authenticity, accuracy, and worth of knowledge claims, reach sound conclusions based on observation and information.
- Performance Measurement: Use statistical, economic, epidemiological, and financial methods and metrics to set goals and measure clinical and organizational performance; employ evidence-based techniques.
- Healthcare and Human Services Environments: Explain issues and advancements in these industries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and general ledger review
- Working knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, audit preparation, and grant/nonprofit accounting practices
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
- Ability to analyze transactions, prepare accurate reports, meet deadlines, communicate effectively with program staff, and maintain confidentiality
- Must pass background checks
- Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable
- State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance, as applicable
