Accountant II

About the role

The application window will close August 15th, 2026. The primary work location for this role is Denver with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end closing.
• Responsible for Cash including review, recording, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts, while working closely with other areas to ensure completeness.
• Perform fluctuation analyses and apply judgment to identify unusual trends that need to be further investigated.
• Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement while helping to establish and maintain policies and procedures.
• Collaborate and update the team to ensure close activities are on schedule.
• Aid in the preparation or review of SOX and substantive audit support as requested by the internal and external audit teams.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting accounting guidance and financial information.
• Aid in ad hoc projects in relation to month-end, quarter-end, or year-end processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, 2+ years of accounting experience is required; prior cash accounting experience preferred.
• Technical and operational knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Knowledgeable regarding SOX and interactions with external auditors.
• Ability to execute in a dynamic and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrate initiative, work well under pressure, highly detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to follow through and implement process improvement.
• Have a high degree of organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office software tools, excellent technology, analytical, and communication skills with emphasis on professional business writing skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, 2+ years of accounting experience is required; prior cash accounting experience preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $64,600 to $80,700. The range listed represents a good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.

Schedule

This position is expected to report to our Denver office on a hybrid schedule.
