About the Opportunity:The Accountant role supports the accounts payable function by ensuring accuracy and resolving exceptions related to purchase orders and payment cards. This position is responsible for managing key operational tasks within accounts payable, contributing to process efficiency, and supporting monthly accounting reporting. The role is fully remote within Iowa and plays a vital part in maintaining smooth financial operations. 3. Responsibilities:• Manage the accounts payable receiving shared email account and respond promptly and professionally• Analyze and monitor key performance indicators for accounts payable• Identify opportunities for automation within accounts payable processes• Assist with preparation of monthly accounting reports 4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience• Approximately 6 months of experience in accounting and/or accounts payable• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Good organizational and analytical skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks Desirable:• Knowledge of automated accounting systems• Familiarity with systems such as PeopleSoft, APPO, ePro, and ProTrav• Understanding of business processes and procedures related to accounts payable 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary starting at $43,240, commensurate with experience 6.
