Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports/filings for the Company and its subsidiaries;
- Analyze filing documents for variances and/or anomalies;
- Works collaboratively with senior staff and manager in the analysis of complex accounting issues.
- Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries;
- Prepare and review account reconciliations;
- Aid in the validation of general ledger balances and financial statement line items;
- Participate in month-end close process.
- Participates with and provides support for internal and external audits;
- Prepares audit work-papers that support the various audits.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university;
- 1-3 years related experience in an accounting environment;
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, insurance accounting principles and procedures, and the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and regulatory compliance;
- Intermediate analytical skills to accurately analyze large volumes of numerical data;
- Intermediate level analysis, evaluation skills & mathematical reasoning to efficiently resolve errors within a financial process, system workflow logic, or procedure;
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software;
- Knowledge in utilizing accounting systems for transaction processing;
- Analytical with attention to detail, strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

- Accrues 0.0769 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 20 days a year.

Pay
Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually
Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
