Accountant II

About the role

This position is a member of Apache’s Marketing Accounting team at the company’s Houston office, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform marketing accounting functions related to Apache’s domestic oil and gas properties.
• Actualize oil, gas, and NGL volumes marketed by Apache in Endur for calculation and integration of pricing and deduct data to the revenue system.
• Perform Settlements functions including invoicing, interface with counterparties, and ensure timely payment for gas, oil, and NGL sales and purchases.
• Responsible for payment of transportation and cash-out invoices for assigned pipes and plants.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, Payable, and other accounts.
• Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to Apache.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting; other business-related degrees will be considered when combined with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Knowledge and experience in SAP and Endur are beneficial but not required.
