Accountant I - Onsite

Responsibilities

• Solve accounting problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
• Analyze and interpret numerical data and perform basic financial analysis.
• Prepare accurate reports within established guidelines to support management in decision-making process.
• Develop spreadsheets as requested.
• Perform accurate financial analysis and reconciliation duties with minimal mistakes.
• LIFO calculation at period end.
• Reconcile inventory and supplies at period end.
• Review departmental financial statements (F/S) at period end.
• Perform basic financial analysis.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts to daily bank statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to help management make informed business decisions.
• Track sales tax refunded to customers on period and monthly spreadsheets.
• Track food show promotion expenses on a spreadsheet.
• Track fixed asset additions on a spreadsheet.
• Track freight charges in various spreadsheets.
• Analyze and reconcile accounts receivable at each period end, making necessary journal entries.
• Analyze and reconcile the general operating account, payroll and retirement accounts at each period-end, making necessary journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly state sales tax forms.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Experience Required: 1 – 3 years of accounting experience
