Accountant I/II - Ariba IM

What We Are Looking For The Finance organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable systems analyst to support invoice processing activities in Ariba Invoice Management (IM) and Lawson. The candidate should be comfortable with assisting employees throughout Kinder Morgan with training and troubleshooting. They also need to have functional knowledge in PowerBi, PowerQuery, SQL, VBA, and MS Office products to assist with the reporting needs of the department. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex processes while delivering exceptional customer service. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively and adapt to changing business needs. We offer a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote). What You Will Do Assist employees with questions about processing invoices in Ariba IM Train employees and coworkers on processing invoices in Ariba IMMaintain the Ariba IM mailboxWork within Ariba IM and Lawson to:Resolve issues with invoices stuck in reconciling status in AribaResolve issues in Lawson for exceptions from AribaAssist with reassigning invoices that need to be processedAssist with any testing updates in Ariba IM and LawsonAudit/Review invoices keyed into Ariba IM for accuracy before they are released for paymentMeet month end/year end deadlinesAdditional duties as needed by management What You Need Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree required - in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or any closely related discipline preferred Experience 2-4 years of related work experience Position Requirements Ability to follow Accounts Payable procedures and guidelines which include our SOX controlsHigh level of detail skills used to research/analyze data and troubleshoot issues through to resolutionAbility to multitaskHigh level of patience when training or working with coworkersStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to adapt to changes as determined by upper managementStrong computer skillsPractical experience with business systems: Lawson, Ariba IM, Ariba SLP, PowerBi, PowerQuery, SQL Report Writer, VBA, Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)Some overtime may be required during month/year endMust be able to work with a team, take direction from management, prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow rulesAbility to maintain high quality of work with little direct supervisionPosition may be filled at various levels depending on the job skills and experience of the successful candidate.
