Accountant I

Position Summary

Help build the financial foundation that supports our business. As an entry-level Accountant, you'll contribute to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring reliable reporting that enables informed business decisions and supports the successful delivery of our mission.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Maintain financial records and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting policies.
• Aid with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain fixed asset records and asset location information.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Aid with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Analyze financial data, including costs, revenues, and commitments, to support business planning and reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting or related experience, including internships.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
