Accountant I

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in daily accounting tasks such as posting transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Support the creation of monthly financial statements and schedules under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Perform basic reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assist in investigating discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow and coordinate weekly disbursements with assigned clubs as necessary.
• Collaborate with General Managers, Operations leaders, and Corporate teams to offer financial assistance.
• Engage in training sessions and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving processes.
• Present financial data in a clear and professional manner, supporting both internal discussions and occasional client presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Show strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Have basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and M365 Suite.
• Understand fundamental accounting principles (GAAP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jonas Club Management software.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
