Accountant I

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Aid in reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments in coordination with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring across multiple dental practice locations.
• Review and maintain practice-level financial statements and support variance analysis.
• Aid in the preparation of audit documentation and compliance reporting.
• Support expense allocations across entities or practice locations.
• Collaborate closely with practice managers and operations teams to support financial reporting accuracy.
• Maintain accounting files and records in compliance with internal controls and data privacy regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• At least 1 year of general accounting or bookkeeping experience (healthcare/dental industry preferred).
• Comfortable working with and managing large volumes of data with accuracy and efficiency.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic financial principles.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct) is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic formulas).
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

$60,000 to $70,000 / annum
