Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries with adequate supporting documentation.
- Monitor, maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts between the parent company and subsidiaries.
- Draft reporting packages for the subsidiaries, or review and approve reporting packages provided by local accountants/3rd party service providers.
- Manage month/quarter/year-end process to ensure all is accomplished on a timely basis to meet required deadlines internally and externally.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Document and maintain current processes and procedures.
- Participate in business and system projects that impact accounting and financial reporting.
- Work with all areas of Finance (Financial Services, Treasury, Corporate Assets and Tax) and outside of Finance (IS group, Customer service, etc.) to support financial operations of the subsidiaries.
- Recognize process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to improve quality, timeliness and accuracy of intercompany transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Closely related degrees (ex. Finance) can be considered with relevant accounting experience.
- Existing understanding and knowledge of US GAAP.
- Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany accounting is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and ability to work with detail.
- Follows direction without close supervision.
Qualifications
Position may be filled as an Accountant I or II, depending on experience.
