Responsibilities

  • Recording and applying customer payments including checks, Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, wire transfers, and credit cards to the correct accounts and invoices.
  • Reconciling discrepancies and variances between bank deposits and internal accounting system records to ensure data integrity.
  • Monitoring daily lockbox activity and promptly resolving short payments, overpayments, or unidentified remittances.
  • Reviewing accounts receivable aging reports on a daily basis and proactively pursuing outstanding past-due balances.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing.
  • Experience: One year of experience examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting systems, records, and reports by applying generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Not applicable.
