Accountant I

About the role

The Accountant I is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations. This role involves preparing and posting monthly journal entries for various business units, assisting in accounting for cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other key balance sheet accounts, managing invoicing tasks, including billing templates and expense reconciliations, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset reports, and assisting with audit schedules and working directly with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for various business units.
• Assist in accounting for cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other key balance sheet accounts.
• Manage invoicing tasks, including billing templates and expense reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset reports.
• Auxiliary with audit schedules and work directly with external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 0-2 years of experience in an Accounting role.
• Experience with complex spreadsheets and accounting systems.
• Strong team collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Public accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA track.
