About the role
Perform accounting and reporting duties primarily focused on the accounting close process. Responsibilities include recording journal entries, performing financial analysis and account reconciliations among other duties. Attention to detail and good organizational skills are necessary.
- Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process. Apply knowledge of accounting policies and procedures to assigned tasks which include recording journal entries and performing research and analysis among other duties.
- Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries, research, investigation of reconciling items and resolution.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate to supervisor any action items or variances that are identified in the month-end close and analytical process as appropriate.
- Assist in accounting and reporting activities and special projects as assigned.
Location
Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company’s Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulfuric acid for our North American leaching operations. The Tri-Town of Globe, Claypool and Miami offers convenient shopping locales, including Walmart, Safeway, Fry’s and other local stores. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and four (4) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in prolonged intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training, or on-the-job training, etc.) in Accounting or Finance; OR
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and two (2) years professional experience in accounting; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related area.
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.

Pay
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $58,000-$78,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
Schedule
Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
