Job Title - Accountant IJob Location San Francisco CA 94107Duration:-6 Months Position SummaryThe position involves supporting the digital and streaming business units by managing revenue recognition, contract review, and order processing functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, be highly analytical, and thrive in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate and timely revenue bookings in compliance with applicable standards and controls. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure revenue recognition is accurately and timely booked in accordance with SOX controls and GAAP standards.Conduct month-end activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries, revenue calculations, and accruals.Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.Collaborate with sales and client services teams to ensure the proper setup of sales orders, verifying that contracts are accurately entered and meet revenue recognition criteria.Investigate and respond to inquiries regarding revenue variances related to media orders.Resolve data ingest exceptions and ensure accurate ingestion of order details into the system for revenue recognition.Process delivery adjustments for media ad sales orders.Provide training and process improvement support to sales and support teams.Offer guidance on revenue recognition issues and identify causes of adverse revenue impacts.Assist with quarterly SOX audits, internal audits, and external audit requests.Participate in ad-hoc revenue analysis and accounting projects as needed. Required QualificationsAt least 2 years of accounting experience.Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel (e.g., lookup functions, pivot tables).Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Preferred QualificationsExperience in the advertising media industry.Familiarity with Operative One and Salesforce.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High accuracy and attention to detail.
