About the role

This is responsible technical and accounting work assisting in the maintenance of a system of governmental accounting records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of a system of governmental accounting records.
• Perform tasks such as balancing accounts, developing financial reports, processing payroll, calculating taxes, balancing budget allotment accounts and ledgers, assisting in preparing budget documents, conducting audits, reconciling or collecting accounting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Attainment of a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in accounting; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

• Associate Degree
• 3 years of college
• 4 years of college
• Bachelor's degree
• Bachelor's degree and postgraduate coursework toward a Master's Degree
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification (Certified Public Accountant, Engineer)

• Master's degree with additional coursework toward a Doctoral degree
• Juris Doctor
• Doctoral degree
