Accountant I

About the role

Responsibilities

• Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
• Collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
• Closes the books in an accurate and timely manner, monthly and annually.
• Prepares and analyzes account reconciliations.
• Assists in financial audits as needed.
• Manages accounts receivable related responsibilities.
• Prepares and analyzes statutory reporting requirements.
• Proposes accruals and adjustments as determined necessary.
• Calculates and prepares appropriate journal entries to record business transactions.
• Analyzes trends and budget variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field PLUS 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may also qualify.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Experience with Facets.

Pay

The pay grade for this role is 307, ranging from $60,533 to $93,826 annually ($29.10 to $45.1087/hour), with the final salary based on internal equity and other factors.

Schedule

This position is approved for Partial Telework. If telework is approved, you are required to work within the State of California only and come in to the Main Office in Orange, CA, at least two (2) days per week minimum.

Physical Requirements

Ability to visually read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. Ability to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting. Lifting and moving objects, patients and/or equipment 10 to 25 pounds.
