Accountant - GL Accounting

About the role

The Accountant - GL Accounting position at the Accounting Division is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
• Prepare financial reports on a timely basis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Review and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
