Accountant - Full Time - Exempt

About the Role

The Accountant is a financial professional who manages and analyzes financial records, performs complex accounting mathematics, and reviews financial data. Using this information, the Accountant communicates with different departments within Calhoun Liberty Hospital (CLH) to ensure proper fiscal operation while supporting the delivery of care to patients, their families, and visitors. The role includes responsibility for Accounts Payable and assisting with payroll as needed.

Responsibilities

• Generate and analyze financial records and data.
• Apply sound knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles.
• Identify missing or incorrect data in financial records and recommend improvements.
• Produce error-free accounting records and present results.
• Analyze financial data for preparation of financial records and budget forecasting.
• Interpret financial data and provide results as directed by management.
• Summarize financial information and analyze results.
• Participate in budget preparation and forecast revenues and expenditures.
• Process Accounts Payable for the organization.
• Assist with payroll preparation as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in accounting is preferred; bachelor’s degree is considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Multiview ERP and CPSI is a plus.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Able to work with limited supervision.
