Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end close, prepare entries, reconcile general ledger and review balance sheets
- Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal controls
- Prepare initial drafts of annual and semi-annual financial statements, regulatory filings and participate in testing
- Recommend procedures to improve efficiency, process payments and review expense reports
- Affiliate with CFO in updating policies and procedures
- Participate in the delivery of information for the annual external audit of broker-dealer books and records
- Special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related major
- 2+ years of Financial Services accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to work with back office, including Compliance, IT and Operations
- SIE and Series 99 required within 3 months of hire
