Accountant- Financial Services

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close, prepare entries, reconcile general ledger and review balance sheets
• Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal controls
• Prepare initial drafts of annual and semi-annual financial statements, regulatory filings and participate in testing
• Recommend procedures to improve efficiency, process payments and review expense reports
• Affiliate with CFO in updating policies and procedures
• Participate in the delivery of information for the annual external audit of broker-dealer books and records
• Special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related major
• 2+ years of Financial Services accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Ability to work with back office, including Compliance, IT and Operations
• SIE and Series 99 required within 3 months of hire
