Accountant / Financial Accountant (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
Primary Purpose
Responsible for month end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis, updating monthly reporting trackers, etc.
This position is also responsible for daily general accounts payable functions including managing vendor updates, invoices, and oversight of weekly payment run with the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for month end close and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Review and prepare weekly work order status report for supply chain and management
- Review and prepare weekly Accounts Payables on hold report; work with supply chain and sourcing to clear AP holds
- Manage and record monthly T&E expense transactions for the business unit; work with stakeholders as necessary to ensure proper and timely recording to projects and P&L
- Manage, code, and approve AP invoices for several key vendors as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Oracle or similar ERP system experience
- Advanced level Excel skills
- Experience and background with project accounting preferred
- Workday experience preferred
- Onestream experience preferred
- Self-motivated individual able to recommend solutions and work independently without constant Management direction
