BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Supporting our Accounting, Finance, and Business Strategy departments by completing daily tasks to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the departments while documenting processes and procedures performed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Daily bank transactions recording for cash flow reporting and accuracy.
  • Making monthly bank reconciliations and cash postings to the general ledger and monitoring cash balances to ensure sufficiency in meeting daily cash needs for expenses.
  • Maintaining corporate credit card balances to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud; posting transactions to the GL and reconciling the transactions.
  • Aiding Accounts Receivable in issuing invoices, monitoring and updating A/R and collections.
  • Maintaining a six-week forecast of intercompany loans and ensuring the balance stays within required thresholds.
  • Working with ERP vendors to maintain system performance and enhancements.
  • Communicating month-end requirements, preparing reports, and maintaining them for audit purposes.
  • Aiding in processing ACH, check, and wire payments for third-party and intercompany obligations.
  • Maintaining vendor lists in ERP and tracking spending by vendor monthly.
  • Aiding in the preparation and submission of required financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Maintaining inventory files, analyzing purchase and sales transactions, and posting to the general ledger monthly.
  • Maintaining invoicing and ERP applications to ensure inventory matches in both.
  • Participating in annual physical inventory in North Carolina each year.
  • Maintaining ERP modules every month to ensure transactions are processed to the correct period.
  • Aiding in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Aiding in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Analyzing and maintaining GL account transactions.
  • Reconciling financial discrepancies by reviewing and analyzing account postings.
  • Aiding in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other statements according to legal and company finance and accounting guidelines.
  • Aiding in the preparation and review of journal entries for accuracy and accounting classifications.
  • Maintaining fixed asset files and recording fixed assets and depreciation in the ERP.
  • Aiding in the preparation and submission of tax forms.
  • Aiding in the process of price lists and tariff tracking.
  • Aiding in internal and external audits.
  • Aiding in the budget process and required reporting to management and corporate HQ (Accounting and Business Strategy).
  • Managing damaged parts claims (Accounting and Business Strategy).
  • Creating and maintaining a scrap parts list through plant communication and ERP (Business Strategy).
  • Inputting orders, forecasts, and slow stock to HQ (Business Strategy).
  • Calculating interest rates, transportation fees, and agent commissions (Business Strategy).
  • Maintaining financial security following internal controls and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Performing duties as deemed necessary by direct supervisor and senior management including but not limited to Accounting and Business Strategy support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • Experience: Knowledge of general bookkeeping, audits, and basic accounting procedures including managing daily financial transactions, including expenses, payroll, sales revenues, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, banking and cash.
  • Skills/Aptitude:
    • Understanding basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP, J-SOX).
    • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
    • Data entry skills along with analytical thinking.
    • Hands-on experience and proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel, and ERP software.
    • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • A task-oriented approach with a strong sense of priority and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • The ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • An ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a challenging environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
    • The ability to deliver and receive positive and negative feedback in a professional manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment.
  • Hybrid work schedule. (Full-time office attendance may be required during training period)
  • Overtime may be required to meet program/project deadlines.
  • Physically able to participate in presentations and meetings.
  • Domestic and international travel is required.
