Our client is a major global systems integrator and IT services company providing technology consulting and business solutions to a wide range of corporate clients. The company offers services in IT consulting, digital transformation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT outsourcing, financial industry technology solutions, and emerging technology research.

About the role

This position is based in either the New York, NY or Texas office and supports the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, journal entries, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations prior to processing in the accounting system.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit requests by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining appropriate accounting records and documentation.
  • Enter and process financial transactions using SAP and other accounting systems while maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
  • Participate in department and company meetings, training programs, and webinars as needed.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to accurately review and validate A/P, A/R, and G/L transactions.
  • 2–3 years of general accounting experience, including hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger entries, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Accounting major preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP/accounting system is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
  • Ability to organize and maintain financial information clearly and consistently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
  • Professional-level English and Japanese communication skills, both written and verbal, for communication with overseas headquarters and Japan-based stakeholders.

Pay

New York: $60,000–$70,000 annually
Texas: $50,000–$60,000 annually

Actual compensation will depend on job-related factors including professional experience, qualifications, education, training, and technical skills.
