About the role
Accountant position based in Houston, TX. This is a 1-year contract assignment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare schedules and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly state and federal reports for the following agencies:
- General Land Office (GLO)
- Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR)
- Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR)
- Commissioner of Land Office (CLO)
- Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC)
- Severance Tax Filings for the following States:
- Texas
- Louisiana
- Oklahoma
- Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP.
- Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments.
- Calculate and process owner interest payments.
- Afford assistance with owner inquiries.
- Develop cross-departmental relationships to ensure information flow.
Requirements
- Must have a 4 year. Accounting degree.
- Must have at least (15+ Years) experience.
- Prepared schedules and journal entries
- Experience maintaining tax rates and new setups within ERP.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Pay
Base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $53.00/hr. to $58.00/hr.
