Accountant

About the Position

The Accountant is responsible for assisting in financial statement preparation, and in performing reconciliations, financial analysis, and the preparation of other statements and reports for use by management and other stakeholders. The role supports financial statement closing activities, assists with audits and projects, and collaborates with colleagues across the accounting team to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial data.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts.
• Maintain cash balances and oversee and forecast cash activity, including coordinating with various associates to ensure timely payment and high-quality input to accounting software.
• Support associates with month-, quarter-, and year-end closing tasks and assist in the preparation of financial statements and related schedules.
• Cook up with other staff to provide support for other finance and accounting projects.
• Track business activities and supporting information.
• Provide schedules and information to other departments as needed.
• Analyze and prepare recommendations to management on process improvement.
• Perform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of work experience helpful/desired in an accounting role within a professional setting or relevant internship experience.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge and use of accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Additional Helpful/Desired Experience

• Experience using Microsoft Business Central, Solver, and SharePoint.

Benefits

• Compensation Range: $78,000-$90,000
