Accountant
About the role
Perform accounting functions related to the financial administration of Community Programs and operational activities
Review, analyze, and maintain financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation
Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and reconciliation of program funds, expenditures, and revenues
Process and review accounts payable, purchase orders, reimbursements, and other financial transactions
Prepare financial reports, expenditure summaries, and budget tracking documents to support program management and decision-making
Review account activity, verify transactions, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records
Maintain organized financial documentation and records to support internal reviews
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective financial coordination and compliance
Assist with the development and implementation of financial procedures, process improvements, and internal controls
Work independently under general supervision while managing assigned projects, priorities, and deadlines
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
