Accountant

About the role

Sodexo is recruiting for an Accountant to support units within the healthcare segment. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office and 2 days remote at the Cheektowaga location after completion of all training. Join a collaborative finance team where you’ll contribute to core accounting operations, helping maintain the integrity of financial systems and reports. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with daily transactions, reconciliations, and vendor relations while developing your skills in a structured and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational accounting skills while working with financial systems like SAP and DTS
• Gain exposure to banking operations, including armored car services, check processing, and service fee reconciliation
• Contribute to monthly reporting processes through journal entry preparation and account reviews
• Support cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
• Serve as a key contact for internal customer service needs and credit card task support
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that expand your knowledge and experience
• Develop professional relationships with global and local finance partners in a dynamic corporate environment

Requirements

Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience

Skills

• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to stay organized while managing recurring financial tasks and responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems
• A self‑starter approach with the ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment
• Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering accurate, high‑quality work in a fast‑paced setting

Pay

Pay Range: $48875 per hour - $63250 per hour

Schedule

Hybrid position: 3 days in office, 2 days remote at the Cheektowaga location (after training completion).
