ACCOUNTANT

About the role

Siouxland Community Health Center is seeking an ACCOUNTANT 1 position.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reconciles daily cash postings with the general ledger and practice management systems.
• Promptly and accurately completes biweekly payroll working with HR & department managers for proper documentation.
• Monthly reconciliation of employee benefits in accounting software.
• Record monthly adjusting/recurring journal entries.
• Serve as back-up person on grant processing in absence of Accounting Manager.
• Assist with audit preparation and other fiscal reporting as needed.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in bookkeeping & payroll processing highly preferred
• Advanced skill set in Microsoft applications and data entry
• Proficient organizational and prioritization skills
• Attention to detail and with math acuity
