Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Perform daily bank reconciliation and bank feed categorization.
• Handle monthly and yearly journal entries and financial close responsibilities (accruals, prepaids, depreciation, amortization).
• Monitor accounting emails for emergency payments, approvals, and other requests.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews.
• Maintain and monitor general accounts.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Process driver payroll.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accountant/Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Port Pro experience preferred.
• Experience preparing P&L statements.
• Experience managing accounting functions for multiple locations or business units.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• AA or BA in Finance preferred, or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
