Accountant

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, review payment details for accuracy, and help ensure disbursements are completed on schedule.
• Maintain accounts receivable records by tracking incoming payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting collection follow-up as needed.
• Prepare and post journal entries to keep financial data complete, organized, and aligned with accounting standards.
• Reconcile bank activity and investigate variances to support accurate cash reporting and account balances.
• Absorb general ledger maintenance, including reviewing transactions and supporting month-end close activities.
• Analyze financial records to identify inconsistencies and work with internal stakeholders to correct issues promptly.
• Compile supporting documentation for audits, reporting requests, and routine accounting reviews.
• Contribute to ongoing accounting process improvements and support operational changes when assigned.

Requirements

• Experience handling accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment coordination.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, cash application, and account follow-up.
• Strong understanding of general ledger activity and journal entry preparation.
• Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and on time.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced accounting environment.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial analysis and reporting.
