Accountant

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure balances are accurate and properly supported.
• Review accounting records to identify unresolved items, correct inconsistencies, and improve the overall integrity of the ledger.
• Prepare audit support materials, including schedules and organized documentation, to assist with internal or external audit requests.
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records by verifying entries and following established accounting procedures.
• Partner with members of the accounting team to complete deliverables within required deadlines.
• Research discrepancies across accounts and recommend appropriate adjustments to bring records into alignment.
• Hands-on experience performing general ledger reconciliations in an accounting environment that requires close attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and the ability to resolve account differences efficiently.
• High level of accuracy with close attention to detail when reviewing financial information.
• Able to organize documentation and manage multiple priorities in support of audit preparation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial record maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
