Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to support core financial operations for a growing organization in Wilsonville, Oregon. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage day-to-day transactional work while maintaining accurate records and supporting timely close activities. The role will contribute across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger processes, with a strong emphasis on precision and consistency. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices, payments, and customer transactions are processed accurately and on schedule. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and accurate financial records within the general ledger. • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure account balances are properly supported. • Assist with month-end close tasks by reviewing transactions, organizing supporting documentation, and helping finalize reporting data. • Maintain the integrity of accounting records by monitoring entries, verifying coding, and resolving routine account issues. • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, track account activity, and prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules. • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, clarify transaction details, and support smooth financial operations. • Experience working in an accounting role with responsibility for general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations. • Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Ability to support month-end close activities with accuracy and strong attention to deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing data, performing analysis, and preparing financial schedules. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
