About the role
ProMach's MBF North America, a supplier of bottling and packaging equipment, is seeking an experienced Accountant. This role is responsible for daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. You will provide critical support to the Controller and Finance leadership, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and help drive process improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and key subledgers (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets, customer and vendor deposits, etc.).
- Maintain and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal ProMach accounting policies.
- Prepare standard weekly/monthly and ad-hoc internal reporting as needed by Controller.
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts and ensure proper classification.
- Monitor accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes, including preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance-related documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and automation; propose and implement detailed improvement plans.
- Develop and implement efficiency enhancements for reconciliation, reporting, and documentation.
- Serve as a key resource for successful ERP implementation.
- Collaborate with operations, AP/AR, payroll, Project Management, and Shared Services to resolve accounting issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure daily/weekly inventory cycle counting is completed in a timely fashion and report results to the Controller.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting treatments and financial workflows.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with a concentration in accounting.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline preferred).
- Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and ERP tools in a fast-paced implementation environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Fluent knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Pay
Base Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
