Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with users across the accounting organization to identify best practices, process improvements and accounting system enhancements.
• Creating assigned manual journal entries during the accounting close cycle.
• Preparing account reconciliation schedules related to assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Performing monthly cost allocation processes.
• Maintaining good working relationships with internal users and other accounting departments.
• Other duties as required.

  Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, minimum 21 hours of accounting credit or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent fundamental accounting skills; hands-on experience with general ledger reconciliations.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal & external clients.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluctuations in workloads may require some overtime.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking as necessary to accomplish accounting objectives.
