Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Maintain and update the general ledger: review, clean up, and monitor account balances, sub-ledger tie-outs, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare expense accruals, prepaid expense amortizations, and other routine accounting estimates.
• Assist with client and partner invoicing and accounts receivable management, including aging, collections support, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager to ensure all accounting policies and procedures are adhered to and help identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.
• Aid in implementing and maintaining a high-quality ERP environment (Sage Intacct) including support for modules tied to GL, A/R, A/P and reporting workflows.
• Support audit activities by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance systems, and project teams to gather data, ensure alignment of accounting entries, and improve controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience and general ledger duties
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large datasets
• Solid understanding of GAAP, with experience in month-end close and reconciliations
• Experience with Sage Intacct or other mid-market ERP systems preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Ability to drive process improvements and adopt automation or best-practice workflows

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer within a typical office or cubicle setting, which may include constant background noise and fluorescent overhead lighting.
