About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations across one or more entities. This role is responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, general ledger maintenance, month-end close support and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with full AP cycle including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and posting
- Verify invoice accuracy, contract compliance, and proper authorization
- Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and vendor agreements
- Absorb invoices to payment platforms
- Maintain vendor master data records, W-9 documentation, and onboarding controls
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or duplicate invoices
- Absorb AP accruals and assist with 1099 reporting
- Assist with full AR lifecycle including billing, collections, and customer payment posting
- Post and reconcile lockbox, ACH, wire, and check payments
- Monitor receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances
- Investigate unapplied cash, short payments, or disputes
- Reconcile customer deposit and advanced payment account
- Generate invoices based on contracts, rent schedules, milestones, or recurring billing
- Support general accounting and close support
- Prepare journal entries including accruals, reclasses, allocations, and amortization
- Perform monthly bank and cash account reconciliations and support intercompany reconciliations
- Track daily cash activity and assist with short-term cash flow reporting
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Absorb fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
- Ensure financial records are audit-ready and well documented
- Absorb expense port analysis and travel policy adherence
- Support accounting clean-ups, system implementations, or entity restructures
Requirements
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a full-cycle role
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
- Experience working with multiple entities or business units preferred
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel-based reporting
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
