About the Role
Water Tite, one of the three operating companies of IPS with 13 different brands and 6,000+ SKUs, is seeking an Accountant to help unlock opportunities to maximize value across the markets and channels in which it operates. Based in Collierville, TN, you will work with stakeholders across the business to review and consolidate forecasts, ensuring the latest financial planning cascades across the organization. The role involves developing close working relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics can drive business objectives.
You will analyze and interpret results to enable informed strategic decisions, with significant exposure to senior business leaders. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle tight deadlines, a demanding and fluctuating workload, and provide accurate and reliable data.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of month-end accounting including analysis for Flash, Forecast, and other financial reports.
- Journal entry posting and analytical review of Inventory and Sales, including samples, freight, sales, and COGS allocations.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly Sales Rebate and Freight accrual.
- Monthly trend analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Assist with development of annual budget and quarterly forecast decks, strategy financials.
- Monthly sales reporting including customer P&L, PPV, etc.
- CAPEX tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Margin analytics by customer, channel, and SKU.
- Develop and implement KPIs across the operating company.
- Productivity and efficiency support (Kaizen).
- Partner with cost accountant and shared services accounting team.
- Backup coverage to finance directors.
- Build SOPs and presentation support for the FP&A department.
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in finance required; experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferable) or finance.
- Strong analytical capability and curiosity to blend various data sets to develop valuable insights across categories or departments.
- Strong communicator with the ability to combine financial process understanding with persuasiveness and confidence.
- Proven track record of problem-solving, contributing, and influencing across levels and functions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with JDE and Insight preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive process improvements and sustainment with minimal supervision.
- Approximately 10% travel required.
