Accountant

Major/Key Accountabilities

• Aid in the development and communication of the monthly freight expense review.
• Build strong review and actual per-unit trend reporting.
• Analyze and communicate monthly operational expense reporting.
• Aid in pool reporting as backup on monthly reporting, contractual matters, and annual reconciliation.
• Prepare and report on quarterly and semi-annual intercompany transactions in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Assist service centers with expense review, accruals, and other reporting.
• Review internal processes to ensure financial/reporting accuracy and integrity.
• Aid in preparation and reporting for the year-end financial audit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience 5+ years of previous accountant-level experience required
• Strong process review and documentation background
• Previous experience working in a corporate environment
• Advanced proficiency with Excel required
• Proficiency with SAP strongly desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and constraints
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Flexible and resourceful
• Computer literacy required, including proficiency in standard business applications included in the Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role that combines remote and in-office work. Employees are expected to be on-site 2–3 days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
