Responsibilities
- Supports core accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, restricted fund accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Prepares internal financial reports.
- Supports the annual audit.
- Maintains internal controls.
- Collaborates with departments across campus to ensure responsible stewardship of institutional resources.
Requirements
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
- Preferred experience in higher education, nonprofit accounting, or fund accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
- Familiarity with federal compliance requirements, including financial aid and grant-related accounting.
