Accountant
About the role
The role involves utilizing a strong understanding of GAAP to accurately produce financial statements and create journal entries using accounting systems. It also requires completing reconciliations and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls through the development and maintenance of relevant systems. The position involves generating statements for analysis and assisting staff in understanding and applying these tools.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing a strong understanding of GAAP to accurately produce financial statements and create journal entries using accounting systems
- Completing reconciliations and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls through the development and maintenance of relevant systems
- Generating statements for analysis and assisting staff in understanding and applying these tools
- Supporting the Accounting Team in tasks such as data entry, reporting, and filing as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting, preferred
- Intermediate working knowledge with Excel
- Ability to organize, file, and maintain multiple projects
- Utilize critical thinking skills in daily tasks and priorities
- Experience with invoice entries, creating journal entries, and completing reconciliations
- Healthcare accounting experience preferred
