Accountant

Job Title: Accountant Location: Santa Clara, CA FULL-TIME JOB FUNCTION: We are looking for an ambitious Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. EDUCATION: B.A. /B.S. degree in accounting, costing and finance. M.S. in accounting is a plus. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of accounting experience. Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus. Skills Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong financial analysis skillsStrong organizational and stress management skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting softwareAbility to train and manage staffAbility to work with little to no supervision RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate accounting functions and programsOversee accounts payable and receivablePrepare financial analyses, statements and regulatory reporting documentsPrepare revenue projections and forecast expenditurePrepare federal, state, local, and special tax returnsManage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processesMaintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accountsAssist with annual audit preparationsInvestigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-complianceContribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures Our company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
