About The Role

The Senior Staff Accountant at Global Airtech MFG Inc plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. This full-time position, based at our Valencia location, involves managing comprehensive accounting functions, preparing detailed financial reports, and supporting audit and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. The Senior Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with management, external auditors, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and economic practices
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and management skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and inventory management systems
• The ability to adapt to changing priorities, follow instructions precisely, and learn new job functions

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assess the organization’s financial condition.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and control accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals as necessary.
• Cook up with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and reconcile subsidiary bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts, to ensure accuracy and consistency across records.
• Monitor freight accounting activities, tracking expenses and ensuring proper cost allocations.
• Prepare inventory reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve subsidiary issues related to inventory management.
• Maintain detailed schedules for fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards.
• Generate sales and gross profit reports, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Aid in the preparation of financial planning and analysis efforts by providing relevant data and insights to senior management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
