Accountant
Job Overview
Ebenezer Senior Care & Living is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This position involves processing monthly financial statements and assisting with external audits and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and analyzes financial statements for Ebenezer Society-managed facilities, including SNFs, senior housing, Assisted Living, Adult Day Care, HOAs.
- Prepares monthly journal entries to P & L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure proper and accurate recording of business activity.
- Maintains debt-covenant monitoring and reporting worksheets as needed.
- Performs monthly EMS management fee and expense-reimbursement reconciliation.
- Prepares work papers for external and internal auditors and consultants.
- Affords assistance to sites with annual budgets.
- Maintains the investment portfolio related to monthly reporting of investment income and realized/unrealized market gains/losses.
- Publishes monthly P & L's in accordance with managed sites/corporate site requirements.
- Affords assistance in any and all functions as requested to ensure the successful operation of the Accounting Department and achievement of corporate objectives.
- Responsible for construction accounting for new properties in development.
Requirements
- Associate of Arts in Accounting/Finance or Vocational School/Technical School with less than 1 year of experience.
- Bachelor of Arts in Accounting/Finance with 1 year of experience preferred.
- Previous construction or development accounting experience is a plus.

Pay
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Schedule
This position is a Hybrid schedule with 80 hours every two weeks.
