DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and accounting policies
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Partner with operational teams to understand business activities and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed
Additional Position Requirements Include The Following
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1-3 years’ experience
- CPA required
- Intermediate/advanced excel skills
- Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information
- Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution
- Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and exercising sound judgment with limited oversight
- Challenge existing practices and proactively recommend innovative solutions that improve both accounting operations and business outcomes
- Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, helping transform accounting from a transaction-processing function into a strategic business partner
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and task execution
