Accountant
Position Summary
The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple California retail and distribution entities. This role will focus on reconciliations, expense accounting, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, operational accounting support, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
Core Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting schedules
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash validations
Support monthly and year-end close activities
Record and reconcile operational expenses and entity cross-charges
Maintain accurate intercompany accounting and reconciliation schedules
Support fixed assets & lease accounting
Assist with amortization schedules and lease accounting records
Aid in accounting documentation and supporting schedules
Assist in financial controls & reporting
Prepare financial reporting packages and reconciliations
Ensure proper documentation and accounting support for transactions
Support audit preparation and accounting documentation requests
Operational coordination
Coordinate with operational departments regarding expense coding and supporting documentation
Work collaboratively with HQ accounting and treasury functions
Maintain process consistency across entities and systems
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong accounting fundamentals with operational finance exposure
Comfortable working within multi-entity accounting structures
Able to manage recurring reconciliations and accounting schedules with high accuracy
Capable of gradually assuming more independent responsibility
Technical Experience
Preferred experience with: SAP Business One, ERP accounting environments, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
Multi-entity accounting operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
3–6+ years of accounting experience
Retail, distribution, logistics, or operational accounting experience preferred
English fluency required

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000. Placement within this range will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This role is eligible for an annual bonus program.
