Accountant
About the role
The Accountant at DataHouse will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations. This position involves preparing and maintaining general ledger entries, performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, managing and reconciling general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank accounts, ensuring compliance with federal and Hawaii tax regulations, leading audit preparation and coordinating with external auditors, analyzing financial performance, providing variance analysis and recommendations, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, improving and maintaining internal controls and accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage and reconcile general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank accounts
- Ensure compliance with federal and Hawaii tax regulations
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis and recommendations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Improve and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a solid background in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills
Qualifications

Pay
This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual accountability bonus based on individual and company performance. The salary range represents the expected base pay for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The salary range is $85,000 - $100,000.

This is a full-time exempt position located in Honolulu, HI.
