Accountant
About the role
Codal is searching for an Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and support strategic financial decisions across the organization.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Own the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, performing variance analysis, and resolving discrepancies to deliver clean, reliable financials.
Partner with leadership to develop budgets, financial plans, and ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate globally with our outside financial team.
Requirements
Extensive experience with full-cycle accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement.
Experience with project-based accounting or revenue recognition.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, ERP platforms Sage, Brex, and Bill.com; advanced Excel skills.
Proven ability to identify financial trends, resolve discrepancies, and translate data into actionable insights.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across all deliverables.
Awareness of federal, state, and local tax regulations; assist with tax preparation, filings, and audit support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Skills
