Accountant

About the Role

Our Non Profit client is looking for an accountant to help their team! This role offers a direct line of sight to the CFO, CEO, and operations, providing high visibility and the opportunity to be a key contributor in financial process improvements and ongoing systems modernization. The position includes structured onboarding and ongoing mentorship from experienced, credentialed leaders within a major nonprofit with diverse revenue streams and stable growth. Flexible hours are available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the finance liaison to program managers, delivering actionable analysis and insight on monthly budgets and spend.
• Prepare, present, and explain timely financial statements and variance reports.
• Track and reconcile accounting transactions for over 500 programs, enabling executive decision-making and compliance.
• Train and support operational leaders on budget compliance, cost allocations, and core account management.

Qualifications

• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; ability to explain key accounting concepts.
• ERP experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
