A well-established service organization in the West Baltimore county area is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its small accounting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Accountant who enjoys hands-on accounting work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and isn't afraid to jump into the details. This role can accommodate either a full-time or part-time schedule. The organization is looking for someone who can step in quickly, help stabilize day-to-day processes and assist with a cleanup of bank reconciliations, and serve as a reliable accounting resource for the team. Job Duties Of The Accountant Process approximately 200 monthly customer invoices using an industry-specific accounting platformPerform weekly billing and maintain accurate customer account recordsComplete high-volume bank reconciliations and manage cash movement between accountsAssist with payroll processing and serve as backup when neededPrepare journal entries and maintain the general ledgerSupport month-end and year-end closing activitiesGenerate reports and provide accounting data to leadershipResearch and resolve accounts receivable and accounts payable discrepancies as neededRespond professionally to client inquiries regarding invoices and account activity What We're Looking For Experience in a hands-on accounting role such as Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similarStrong understanding of full-cycle accounting processesExperience with bank reconciliations, billing, and month-end closePayroll experience or willingness to support payroll functions as neededStrong Excel skills and overall technical aptitudeExcellent communication skillsHighly organized, deadline-driven, self motivated, and able to work independently Why This Opportunity?
